Fitness Should Be Fun!
If you're bored with your exercise routine, what are the chances that you'll do it as regularly as you'd like to - as regularly as you know you should!
By bringing in variety to our routine, we can motivate oursleves to achieve the fitness goals we'd like.
- looking and feeling strong
- a stronger immune system
- improved blood flow and heart rate
- strong bones
- prevention of many age related diseases
- reduced risk of depression
Having said that, some forms of fitness, like cardio, should be a fundamental part of our fitness routine. It provides many of the benefits listed above, as well as helping prevent diabetes.
But there are many ways to work out, beyond just using the treadmills and cycling machines at the gym. Other choices include:
- climbing walls
- jump rope
- martial arts
- water aerobics
- walking
- water sports like skiing and sailing
- dancing
- kickboxing
Whatever forms of exercise you choose, don't be afraid to try something new!
